What we collect ourselves
There are no accounts and no forms that ask for a name or an address. The home page shows a visit counter. Each time that page is loaded we add one to a stored total. We do not attach that number to a name, an email, or a profile. We do not sell visitor information.
Advertising
The site uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure adverts, including ads based on previous visits to this site or others. You can manage ad personalisation in Google’s Ads Settings, and read Google’s privacy policy. Our publisher line is also published at the site root in ads.txt.
Amazon associate links
Buttons that lead to books are Amazon.co.uk associate links. If you follow one, Amazon may set cookies and record that the visit came from this site. If you buy something, Upcott Studios may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Amazon’s own policy applies once you are on their site.
Sharing and type
The share icons at the foot of each page do nothing until you choose one. They then open X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Bluesky, or your mail programme, and those services apply their own policies. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts.
